About Us

The Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital NHS trust is the main provider of district general hospital services for nearly half a million people across Shropshire, Telford and Wrekin and mid Wales.

The Undergraduate Medical School in Shropshire was established in 2002 and now receives over 100 medical students at any one time across the Royal Shrewsbury, Princess Royal and Shelton Hospital sites as well as offering numerous community placements across the county.

Our main service locations are the Princess Royal Hospital in Telford and the Royal Shrewsbury Hospital in Shrewsbury, which together, with 700 beds and assessment & treatment trolleys, provide 99% of our activity.

You will also be based in the community for part of your time here, which will be a great opportunity to get to know the area and meet other patients.
