FINDING US

ROYAL SHREWSBURY HOSPITAL

Car:

The hospital is located near the A5-B4386 junction. 

From this roundabout follow signs for Royal Shrewsbury Hospital, it is 0.8 miles ahead on the left via a small roundabout.

Bus:

There are a number of bus stops around the hospital site which are on good transport links. More information can be found on Arriva website.

PRINCESS ROYAL HOSPITAL

Car:

Leave the M54 at junction 6 and follow the A5223 for three roundabouts and on the fourth, take the third exit to the PRH main entrance.

Bus:

The Princess Royal Hospital has two bus stops near the main entrance. The number15 and 16 services stop at the hospital.

 

The number X5 offers 10 return journeys per day between Shrewsbury Bus Station and Telford Bus Station taking 30 minutes.

Oxon Park and Ride

The service is FREE to use by all staff members showing an NHS ID Badge. 

Oxon Park and Ride buses will travel down Gains park road, dropping staff off at the Treatment Centre.

The first bus will depart at 6.20am, with subsequent buses departing every 15 or 20 minutes, until 9.25pm.

This Oxon Park and Ride is located behind the Bicton Heath Co-operative. From the Shrewsbury bypass, turn on to the Welshpool Road heading towards Redwoods Hospital, turn left at the junction directly after the traffic lights and continue towards the signed park and ride car park. The nearest postcode to the Oxon site is SY3 5AD (Bicton Heath Retail Park, Shrewsbury)

PRH Park and Ride

You can park for free at Bucks Head AFC Telford and Arriva has kindly agreed that colleagues can use the No. 4 bus service free of charge. The Watling Street bus stop opposite the Whitehouse Hotel is just a short walk from the car park. 

 

The first bus departs from the Whitehouse Hotel at 06.39 and the last bus from PRH departs at 21.31.  They run at various intervals throughout the day. Mandatory registration is required to use this service.  If you would like further details about how to do this, please contact the Undergraduate Support team.

Trains

Train stations are situated in Wellington and Telford.

Wellington station is the closest to the Hospital. Wellington Bus Station is within walking distance of the train station. Bus services and taxis are available outside the station.

The Hospital is approximately a 15 minute drive from Telford Station and taxis are available outside the station.
